Overview:

Experience a unique view of the Netherlands from the comfort of the cruise ship, MS Olympia. All meals on board are included and during our relaxing 5 day trip we will visit some of the quaint, lesser known, harbours of Holland as well as enjoying free time in the capital city of Amsterdam itself. Amsterdam offers many world-class museums such as the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the poignant exhibit at Anne Frank’s house. There is also a great selection of theatres, laid-back bars and delightful restaurants.

MS Olympia

The MS Olympia was completely renovated in 2015/2016, and offers a spacious lounge with a cosy bar. Here you can enjoy the beautiful and changing scenery whilst sailing, or a nice drink with some live piano music in the background. The inviting restaurant with picture windows, offers ample space for all passengers. Thanks to the recent renovation the ambiance on board is warm, modern and bright, so you will feel at home soon and easily. All cabins have one or two separated beds, a flat-screen TV, modern private facilities, an individual regulated AC and a compact but comfortable seating area. Upper deck supplement: £60 per person

Single Supplement of £70 per person for the duration of the tour (either true single upper deck or twin for sole use lower deck, subject to availability)

• Return rail journeys from St Pancras to Amsterdam (Eurostar from/to UK, includes a change on return from Amsterdam)
• Return assisted coach transfers from Amsterdam station to cruise ship as required (should the ship be able to dock by the station then transfers will not be required as walking route from the ship is less distance than walking route from the coach drop off point).
• 4 nights accommodation on board the MS Olympia
• Welcome reception with welcome drink
• 5 course dinner (Hors d’oeuvre, Soup, Salad, Choice of 3 main course and Dessert) each evening
• Tea/coffee after dinner each evening
• Late night snacks such as bread and cheese or canapés each evening

Itinerary:

• Outbound train 18^th March 2020: Eurostar departs St Pancras, London at 11:04 and arrives Amsterdam Central at 16:11 (local time).
• Return trains 22^nd March 2020: Connecting train departs Amsterdam Central at 15:15 and arrives Brussels Midi at 17:08, there will be a comfort stop here and Eurostar check in. Eurostar departs Brussels Midi at 18:56 and arrives St Pancras, London at 19:57 (local time).
• It will not be possible to join the trains at any other station than those shown above.
•  Day 1 – We depart London by Eurostar for the journey to Amsterdam. On arrival in Amsterdam we will be met by a local guide who will assist us on the walk either directly to the ship, or to the coach meeting point for transfer to the ship (dependant on the dock available for the cruise ship on the day). We spend the evening on board the cruise ship, the MS Olympia, docked in Amsterdam overnight.
• Day 2 – The morning will be spent cruising to Hoorn with lunch served on board, we arrive early afternoon for time at leisure. Visitors can stroll around Hoorn’s quaint harbour and along canals and see the many redbrick, gabled row houses; the oldest of which date from the late 16th century. Return to the ship for dinner, the ship will remain docked in Hoorn overnight.
• Day 3 – Following a mornings sailing we arrive in Lelystad around midday. Attractions in Lelystad include The Batavia, a replica of a 17th century ship, The Seven Provinces ship, The National Aviation Museum and more. Lelystad is also home to a wide range of shopping opportunities, although a spread out city there are many public transport options available for us to use as desired (at own cost). Return to the ship for dinner and the ship will remain docked in Lelystad overnight.
• Day 4 – The morning is at leisure in Lelystad with our departure set for around lunch time. We enjoy our final lunch on board the ship during our cruise back to Amsterdam arriving during the afternoon for some free time before dinner. The ship remains docked in Amsterdam overnight.
• Day 5 – We say goodbye to our ship this morning and have some time at leisure to explore Amsterdam before returning to the station for our onward rail journey home with a change of train in Brussels en route. An optional walking tour of Amsterdam is available this morning, which must be pre-booked.

 Optional Extras:

• Upper Deck cabin supplement – £60 per person (based on two sharing a cabin)
• 2 hour guided walking tour of Amsterdam – £10 per person
