In Denmark, the delights of cosmopolitan Copenhagen await.

The colourful, 17th century Nyhavn waterfront district, Little Mermaid statue and legendary Tivoli Gardens are within easy reach of Braemar’s central docking location.

Elsewhere, Rosenburg Castle and the impressive Christiansborg and Amalienborg palaces represent Copenhagen’s rich Royal heritage. Enticing Helsinki is yours to explore, with its insightful galleries and museums, Art Nouveau architecture and unique attractions such as the Kamppi Chapel of Silence.

Visiting the Finnish capital affords an opportunity to relax and breathe in the invigorating steam of a traditional smoke sauna too, for an altogether authentic experience.

There’s also Estonia’s fairytale-esque capital, Tallinn. With a day to wander the city’s cobbled streets, you could delight in the medieval structures of the UNESCO-listed Old Town, the striking Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Kadriorg Palace. Show less

Your exciting journey of Baltic discovery takes you to the stunning Russian city of St Petersburg too, for an overnight stay to savour. Sailing the picturesque River Neva will present you with views of glorious, golden-domed structures, before two days in the ‘Jewel in the Baltic Crown’ allows ample time to take in its collection of world-famous landmarks. Star attractions include Peterhof Palace, the Church of Our Saviour on the Spilled Blood and St. Isaacs Cathedral: a guided walking tour is the best way to see them all.

Don’t miss the Hermitage and Faberge Museum too; and, for a very special cultural experience, the chance to see, hear and feel the emotion of an evening at the Russian ballet.

Finally, a full day in the seaside resort of Travemünde offers rich rewards, whether you take the opportunity to visit traditional German shops, markets and cafés found merely walking distance from your ship’s gangway; or perhaps venture further afield on a tour to UNESCO-listed Lübeck, a 12th century gem boasting over 1000 fascinating historical sites.
