Ladies – you will love this!
One of our earlier trips some 18 years ago was Shoe Shopping in Norwich. It was hugely popular and on one trip the average purchases were 5 pairs of shoes and two handbags per person! We have decided to revive this trip, but this time we are including a factory tour of Van Dal, the last remaining shoe factory in the UK. The trip will also include shopping in their outlet shop with a 10% discount, a delicious lunch with wine at the superb Dunston Hall Hotel and further bargains can be bought on our final stop at East Anglia’s largest footwear outlet.

Van Dal Factory Tour
On arrival, after a welcome cup of tea or coffee and biscuits you will meet Linda the stitcher,
Richard the clicker and Jason the soler as Van Dal take you on a journey through the world of ladies shoe making. With over 75 years manufacturing in Norwich, they know a thing or two! You will see first-hand the skills that have stood the test of time from cutting leathers and attaching the uppers and heels through adding the finishing touches with their elegant Van Dal branded trims. Learn about the shoe making process in one of the country’s last remaining traditional shoe factories and hear the tales from their lovely team.
Their Factory Shoe Shop may just be your little piece of shopping heaven. It’s an ever changing emporium of best sellers, end of season lines, seconds as well as the latest range. As if that’s not enough, they also run regular promotions on selected styles and will offer us 10% discount on our purchases.
Dunston Hall
We leave the factory and rejoin the coach for a brief journey across the city to Dunston Hall 
where you can enjoy a delicious two course lunch with wine, tea or coffee. A menu (currently awaited) will be provided at the foot of this page and we ask you to select your choices and let us know by e-mail or phone at least 10 days before the event.
The Elizabethan-style Dunston Hall is a four-star luxury hotel in the heart of Norwich which has recently undergone a £2 million refurbishment. As well as being an excellent place to rest your head while exploring the Norwich countryside, the 1859 building is a great venue for weddings and other celebrations. It’s set amidst 150 acres of parkland and is home to a US PGA-rated golf course, a fantastic spa and pool as well as a health club for hotel guests to enjoy.
Romba Footwear
After lunch we make our final stop in Hingham, East Anglia’s largest footwear outlet. They stock a huge range of ladies and gents boots, shoes and slippers and brands include, Gabor, Josef Seibel, Padders, Reiker, Anatomic (very good for diabetics) and Loakes. They also have a range of belts, handbags, scarves and gloves.
