Our Itinerary:

First Day:

We travel north to Glasgow taking the M74 to the Erskine Bridge, continuing along the shores of Loch Lomond, passing through the village of Arrachar to Ardgartan and your hotel. There will be time to freshen up before you can enjoy dinner and entertainment.

Days 2, 3 and 4. The following excursions will be included on these days.

  • Cruise on Loch Lomond, Loch Awe and InverarayIsle of Bute
This is a magnificent, stunning location, whatever the weather – atmospheric mist or dappled sunlight. This Highland holiday with its dramatic scenery will be an unforgettable experience. The iconic tip of the craggy mountain, known locally as ‘The Cobbler’ stands behind the hotel and shares extensive views of Loch Long, while your trip to Inveraray will take you past deep glens and dark forests until you view the pretty town on the shores of Loch Fyne.
  • Isle of Bute
Following the spectacular route through the Rest and Be Thankful mountain pass and hugging the shores of Loch Fyne, we will soon reach the magnificently-situated Colintraive where a short ferry crossing will take us to Scotland’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’, the Isle of Bute. Here we will find time to explore this elegant island full of Victorian history, ancient religion and expansive views of mountains, seas and distant isles. This circular tour may be followed in reverse.
  • Royal Yacht Britannia and EdinburghRoyal Yacht Britannia
There will be an opportunity to explore the Royal Yacht Britannia in her new home in Edinburgh’s Leith Docks. This fascinating tour will cover five decks and will include a visit to the bridge, the state dining room and drawing room, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s bedrooms, the engine room, the captain’s cabin and the galleys. New for this year there’s a fascinating insight into the crews quarters – in remarkable contrast to the opulence of the royal suites. There will be time for shopping and sightseeing in Edinburgh too.

Final Day
We return home.

In addtion to all the above, your holiday will also include some treats.

A deposit of £30 per person will secure your place and the balance will be due 4 weeks before departure.
