Join us for this eight day escorted holiday on this superior category ship MS President.

We shall sail past secret coves, red-roofed villages and ancient olive groves on this island-hopping cruise across the glorious Adriatic Sea. Along the way, discover chic towns, sparkling waterfalls and secluded beaches, sample delicious local wine and cuisine, and take in magnificent views from the highest point in the Adriatic Islands.

Your ship

Your accommodation will be aboard the superior category ship President, exclusively used by Travelsphere customers. Built in 2012, this intimate coastal cruising vessel is designed to offer quality and comfort to all guests on board. You will enjoy a relaxed, informal cruising experience with up to 40 Travelsphere customers on board along with seven crew members who will look after you throughout your stay. Facilities on board include 20 spacious cabins with twin or double beds. All cabins have en suite facilities, a TV, safe and air-conditioning. Three course meals and one buffet lunch are cooked and prepared on board and served in the spacious restaurant, where there is also a bar. There is a plunge pool and sunbathing area on the top deck as well as a small gym. Upper deck and large upper deck cabins are available at a supplement, please see prices below for details.

YOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 – UK/Trogir
You will depart by scheduled flight to Split today. On arrival, Adriatic Explorer 2you’ll transfer to the harbour where your ship, MS President and its crew are waiting to greet you. Gather with your fellow passengers to enjoy a welcome ‘President cocktail’, followed by a delicious late lunch on board the ship.

This afternoon we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Trogir, a small and lively medieval town boasting a castle and many fine historic buildings. We’ll visit a local tailor and learn about a famous Croatian suit which can be worn in five different ways, inspired by traditional Croatian clothing from the 19th century. The evening is free for you to sample one of Trogir’s lovely restaurants.

DAY 2 – Krka National Park
Enjoy breakfast this morning as we cruise north and inland along the Krka River towards the Krka Waterfalls. Entrance to Krka National Park is included today and your Local Guide will ensure you see all its highlights. The area is home to more than 800 species of plant life as well as more than 200 species of bird. Amphibians, reptiles and a variety of fish make their home here too, and you may even catch a glimpse of the threatened European otter. After the tour of the park, continue by coach to the prestigious Bibich Winery where award-winning wines are produced. Taste several of these including the Dalmatian Debit white wine, Shiraz and Merlot, along with a delicious tapasstyle Croatian lunch. This evening MS President will dock at Sibenik, where you can enjoy dinner on board the ship.

DAY 3 – Zadar
After breakfast, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Sibenik. This fascinating historic town boasts an array of cultural monuments, including the famous Cathedral of Sibenik, a Gothic-Renaissance building made entirely from stone. After lunch, you’ll head to Zadar, where you’ll have free time to explore its Roman ruins, medieval churches and vibrant restaurants. Unforgettable sights and sounds await as you discover the city’s famous Sea Organ, a musical organ played by sea waves, and the Sun Salutation light installation, which uses solar energy to create a light show through the night.

DAY 4 – Zlarin
See more of Zadar on a walking tour, starting at its famous fish market MS Presidentand passing through the mighty city walls, which feature magnificent gates built in the 16th century. You’ll also discover some of the city’s most important sights, including a Roman forum dating back to the 1st century, and the 9th century church of St Donatus. Lunch will be served on board today as we set sail for Zlarin, a small island punctuated with cypress trees and fringed by stunning beaches. Once moored, enjoy a tasting of wonderful Croatian wines on board. Dinner will also be enjoyed on the ship this evening.

DAY 5 – Hvar
Make sure you are on deck this morning as you sail past ancient olive groves, lush vineyards and fragrant lavender fields as the ship approaches the island of Hvar. After lunch you’ll step ashore in the main town, also called Hvar, one of Croatia’s most fashionable resorts, which is dominated by its Renaissance cathedral. We include a walking tour of Hvar this afternoon before enjoying time at leisure here. The town has a good selection of bars and restaurants which stay open late into the evening.

DAY 6 – Brac
This morning MS President sets sail for the island of Brac. Enjoy lunch in one of the pleasant bays en route, arriving in the town of Milna in the early afternoon. The island boasts Croatia’s most stunning beach, Zlatni Rat, which you can view from the highest peak of all the Adriatic islands, Vidova Gora. You can also admire the breathtaking sunset from this point as you enjoy a glass of sparkling wine. Back on the ship, you’ll be served a wonderful Captain’s dinner, complete with live music.

DAY 7 – Split
Your ship heads back to Split today, stopping at one of the many bays en route where you can enjoy a swim or take in the views from the top deck, which boasts a plunge pool. In Split, Croatia’s second largest city, you will be joined by a Local Guide, who will introduce you to highlights including the Palace of Diocletian, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following your tour, you’ll have time for lunch and to explore the city further at your own pace. Next, the ship will take you to the remote village of Krilo, where your holiday ends in style with a delicious ‘heritage dinner’ in a beautiful setting. Using traditional cooking methods, your hosts will treat you to a memorable Croatian meal while you watch the sun set over the Adriatic.

DAY 8 – Split/UK
Enjoy an early breakfast aboard your ship this morning before you transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
