Step inside the exciting world of broadcasting! At BBC Tours they’re inviting you Newsroomto peek behind the scenes of their dynamic live broadcasting hub and hear what goes on at the beating heart of the BBC. We are also offering an optional fine-dining lunch at Roux at the Landau.

Their entertaining and informative guides will bring to life the work their brand new, state of the art, multimedia broadcasting centre in the heart of London. On this one and a half hour tour some of the things you’re likely to experience include a camera’s eye view via our big screen into some of the studios broadcasting to the nation, including television and radio news studios, as well as hearing about the rich history of the building and the BBC.

They’ll give you a view over their new state of the art newsroom and you’ll have the chance to try your hand at reading the news and weather yourself on our interactive news set!

They’ll tell you about how BBC Radio Drama is made and you’ll be able to have Cafe & shopa go at making your very own radio play complete with music and sound effects! On some but not all tours, you may get the chance to peek into the newly restored Radio Theatre (if production schedules permit) where Radio 2 concerts and popular radio comedy shows such as Just a Minute, the News Quiz and The Now Show have recently been recorded.

Production schedules permitting, tours will be able to visit the brand new home of The One Show. The programme is moving from west London to a new studio on the Piazza at Broadcasting House. They’ll take you inside the studio and explain how their nightly topical magazine programme is put together!

We are so close to Oxford Street and Regent Street there will be free time for shopping in the afternoon.

For those who wish to enjoy some fine dining after their visit to the BBC, we’re addingRoux @ The Landau 2 an optional lunch at ‘Roux at the Landau’, just opposite Broadcasting House. We have only 16 places (two tables of 8) available and lunch will include three-courses, half bottle of wine, mineral water + tea or coffee, petits fours and service charge.

The re-named Roux at The Landau sees father and son Albert and Michel Roux Jr working together for the first time in 18 years, bringing the Roux’s legendary culinary expertise and creativity to their second West End address.

The cost of this fully escorted event will include luxury coach transport, your entry to the BBC and, of course, treats. The optional lunch will be as shown above.
