Bombay Sapphire Distillery & the Whitchurch Silk Mill
What an amazing place and if you love a gin and tonic you will be enthralled by this visit. This beautifully restored distillery is most impressive, very professionally run and in delightful, natural surroundings alongside the crystal clear River Test. We are including a visit to the Whitchurch Silk Mill, morning coffee and a gastro pub lunch.

We start the day with a visit to the Whitchurch Silk Mill where a welcoming cup of tea or coffee with biscuits will be provided for you before your guided tour of the oldest silk mill in the UK. It’s a gem of industrial heritage in its original building and it weaves silk using 19th century machinery. The Mill Shop has a variety of gifts and souvenirs and silk products for sale. A two course lunch will be included at the Watership Down Inn – yes we are in rabbit country! We shall provide the menu for you to make your choice of meal in this gastro-pub before the day.
Just a short distance along the road is the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. Having visited this amazing place, we just had to book an event, so you could enjoy this too. It was the most wonderful experience of sights, tastes and smells and we were shown around by a very experienced, entertaining guide. The visit ended with the most delicious cocktail which they select for you from your favourite choice of aromas in their Botanical Dry Room. We enjoyed the ‘Hosted Experience’ during our visit but for this day they will be arranging a bespoke ‘Cocktail Masterclass’ for a maximum of 30 people. The Masterclass lasts for one hour and will be followed by the Hosted Experience. Those who do not wish to join the Masterclass will find plenty to entertain them on the Hosted Experience and in the Mill Bar and shop. All areas visited are disabled friendly.
The cost of this event will include luxury transport, morning refreshments, guided tour of the Silk Mill, your two-course lunch, visit to the Distillery and, of course, treats.
