There will be no extra treats on this one, but we can assure you this will be a very entertaining visit. You can enjoy a
private guided tour of this fascinating house owned by the Lowsley-Williams family, with history dating back to Elizabeth 1. The family will look after us throughout the day, even providing a delicious freshly cooked two-course lunch with tea or coffee.
The historical interest is centred upon the English Civil War but the house is frequently used for filming and you may recognise Chavenage from many television and film productions such as ‘Grace and Favour’, ‘Hercule Poirot’, ‘House of Elliot’, ‘Cider with Rosie’ and ‘Emma’. Chavenage also featured as Candleford Manor and it was seen as Trenwith House in the hugely popular ‘Poldark’ series.
If you’d like to join us, the local pick up points will be Milton Keynes at the Shenley Leisure Centre and we may also be able to include Woburn Sands. Please let me know if you’d like to come.
The cost of this event will include luxury coach transport, entry to the house, guided tour and your two-course lunch.
