About this excursion
We are delighted to be able to invite you to join us to watch the Lord Mayor’s Show from the comfort of the coach as this procession makes its return journey from the Royal Courts of Justice back to the Mansion House. This is where the new Lord Mayor follows in the steps of Dick Whittinghton and takes an oath of allegiance to the sovereign.
Each year the Show reinvents itself to attract a fresh audience while at the same time not losing sight of its heritage and tradition. The military, Livery and civic elements represent the spine of the procession; while charities, youth associations, overseas organisations and businesses bring the energy and dynamism that capture the essence of a truly global city.
It is a fabulous three mile entertaining, colourful and memorable procession of more than 7,000 people, 200 horses and 155 floats and marching bands.
The day ends with a magnificent firework extravaganza on the River Thames at approximately 5.00pm.
We will provide you with includes lots of treats on the day and a copy of the official Lord Mayor’s Programme.
We suggest you bring folding chairs and, perhaps a blanket, so you can sit outside the coach to watch the parade – weather permitting of course
This trip includes luxury transport to London, an official Show programme and, of course, surprise treats.
