After a six year break we return for a Sunday Lunch at Chateau Tilques, nestled in a glorious spot in northern France, just 30 minutes from Le Shuttle terminal. Here you can enjoy a gastronomic experience – a glass of champagne, followed by a three course lunch with coffee, all in a delightful setting. After lunch enjoy a stroll around the lake, a game of boules, giant chess, a bicycle ride or just relax on the terrace, in the garden or hotel lounge. This trip is ideal for a gift or celebration, or just to spoil yourself.

We have had many requests to repeat this popular 
trip, so we have decided to revive it. Fortunately they remembered us at the Chateau and they are looking forward very much to seeing us again.
We shall travel by luxury coach via Le Shuttle to France and make our way through the countryside to the village of Tilques. Here you will be greeted by a welcome glass of chilled champagne and you can enjoy this in the garden or in one of the lounges before we go to the restaurant for our delicious three course lunch.
After lunch there will be time to relax in the garden or lounge, stroll around the lake or enjoy a game of boules or giant chess. They still have peacocks in the grounds too.
When we leave the Chateau, time permitting, we shall make a brief stop at a wine shop and there should also be time to buy items in the French Terminal Building.
The price includes luxury transport, le Shuttle crossing, champagne reception, three course lunch and lots of surprise treats.
About the Chateau
Built in 1891 over the ruins of a 17th century manor, the Chateau Tilques hotel offers the authentic charm of the French countryside at the crossroads of Northern Europe. T
he chateau is built in a neo-Flemish style and nestles in a four hectare park. It is located near the Marais Audomarois (marshland) which is the heart of the regional natural reserve surrounding the town of Tilques.
We recall on our first personal visit in 1999, there were photographs on the wall of the 1966 England Football Team playing on the grass at the front of the Chateau.
The hotel is only 5 minutes from Saint Omer and its location is ideal whether you come for a cultural or gastronomic stay or just to relax.
