n 2016 Thursford will be celebrating their 40th year. The show is set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, with a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians – many of whom are West End performers. The 3 hour performance delivers an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites, with famous and much-loved chart toppers being sung alongside traditional carols.
We have requested excellent seats for the evening performance, but we will not be sure of our allocation until early February. We shall, of course, update the website when we have our tickets.
We’re staying overnight at the 4* Dunston Hall Hotel in Norwich on a half-board basis. This Elizabethan-style mansion built in 1859 has been lovingly restored to all its former glory. Built against 150 acres of stunning wooded Norfolk parkland, the setting is just as unique 
as its history. Your hotel room will be equipped with en-suite bathroom, Sky TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facility, iron and ironing board and complimentary WiFi.
On our journey home we shall be stopping at Jordans Mill for lunch and a tour of the Mill. Jordans Mill is in the heart of rural Bedfordshire tucked away on the banks of the River Ivel, near Biggleswade. At one time there were over 400 mills in Bedfordshire and Jordans is now one of only a handful of working watermills in the country. Lovingly restored, the mill provides a fascinating insight into the heritage of flour milling in Britain and the unique story of the Jordan family.
We have arranged a tasty two course lunch for you in their Riverside Café and after lunch you can enjoy a tour of this historic mill with two of their knowledgeable volunteer tour guides. After the tour you are free to explore their Mill Gardens, Mill Meadow and Woodland – 
weather permitting. You will also find a range of food and gifts to buy in the Mill Store – perhaps some Christmas gifts.
Your short break will include:
- Executive touring coach for the duration of the tour
